FWIW: this problem is the whole reason I created ProductDesigners (https://productdesigners.app). I’m about to release Case Studies, which is a way for designers to showcase their thoughtful product work instead of tiny orchestrated visual designs. You’ll be able to share, bookmarks other case studies, and use them to apply to jobs directly.

Right now, it doesn’t have all that, but it’s coming within the next week or two.

I've always used Harvest for my invoicing. It's not super fancy, but it does all of the common things really well.

From a management perspective, I've always had a business account separate from my main accounts and put all income into the business checking. I automatically deduct the amount I need for taxes into a business savings account every time I receive income. That way, I'm not surprised come tax time.

I'm not sure how all of that works in Germany, but I imagine it's similar. I used to live in Berlin, btw! Loved it.

I'm very impressed! Great resource for aspiring product designers. Very curious to see where this goes and whether it will evolve from a content site to one that's more like a product itself.

I'd love to talk through some of the pros and cons as listed in the article! I find it interesting that, as designers, there hasn't been a real redesign of the interview process for quite some time.

There have been improvements to product design interviewing, certainly, but not in a way that attempts to attack the problem of monocultures head-on.

That being said, I certainly haven't seen every interview process and would love to hear examples of companies that take this more seriously.

Totally valid point, thank you! I was worried it would be a bit too generic for people to grok, even as an early landing page. Your comment confirms that!

I'll put a video together soon to show it off a bit more, especially the speed :) It's lightning-fast to add tasks and designs across projects, assign to different team members, etc.

I appreciate the comment! I was too focused on my MBP-to-mobile viewports. Thanks!

Really curious to figure out if Lingo and Abstract can play nice together, or if they're mutually exclusive.

A trademark of plagiarism is an exact copy. Is the report an exact copy? No, but it's incredibly close. And this new product is for a different service "Eventbrite" vs. "Stripe", but it's an analytics platform. That's a huge similarity.

Also, they duplicated exact copy that Josh or I wrote for the Baremetrics site. That's literally plagiarism.
