  • Posted to What do you guys think about the New Gmail.?, Apr 26, 2018

I'm a fan, at least when compared to the previous design. I'm an Inbox user, and the fact that so many of its unique features are now integrated into Gmail makes it a little confusing as to which app to use going forward. That said, the new features of the web app don't yet exist in any of the mobile apps, but I hope they do.

My biggest gripe, though, is the new Tasks app. Why in the world would the tasks not be integrated with the Reminders in Keep, Google Assistant, and Calendar??? WHY???

Not that Reddit is exactly feminist all the time, but there are a number of subreddits you could check out. Like /r/web_design. I follow mostly development oriented reddits, but I'm sure there's a bunch for design.

I remember seeing screenshots for the new Google Calendar design in beta testing.

    Found it.

I've been a huge fan of the new-ish Logitech Triathlon. Connects view bluetooth, isn't as large as the MX Master, which is huge for my hands, has great customizability and battery life. Looks great, too.

    Only problem is, I don't think there's a lefty version :(

I agree. The primary argument seems to be "Don't worry, we don't have any confusing powerful features or options..."

They're not selling anything to me, and I'm not sure who they're audience for this is. Unless you're already an iPhone user and nodding your head as you read along.

This looks cool! Can this work on mobile? I find that a lot the bookmarking I do is from my phone.

I'm begrudgingly using Raindrop.io right now. The desktop web app is fine, but the Android app hasn't been updated since 2015. There's so many alternatives, but not many work cross-platform.

Despite for some spammy articles, I've grown to like Google Play Newstand on Android. It gives you some top 5 suggested articles that range from cover news to your own interests, and you can add subscriptions, like NYTimes or New Yorker.

I only wish you could add custom feeds. There are some blogs I follow that I can't get content for

Yeah, these features are pretty handy as a developer. I was excited that it seems to be built on Chromium, but unfortunately there's not extension support, making the browser a false starter for me.

But it was fun to play with for 5 minutes ;)

You can consolidate LICECap and Paparazzi with CloudApp.

I started using it recently for sharing screenshots and gifs for code reviews and collaboration with PMs. I love it because once you complete a screenshot or gif, it places the direct link into your clipboard to share immediately. So far the free account has been sufficient for me.
