Not rude at all, I love that you are talking about this :). Don't get discouraged though! There seems to be a ton of opportunities in the digital space. This was more on the development side, but I was really inspired by this story recently. Design gigs for good is another one I really like.
It's awesome that you can reflect on this so early in your career! I didn't until more recently. Whether you work for a company that you respect ethically or start your own venture, I think by staying true to your ethos you'll be fulfilled in your work and help lift up others in whatever way you can.
Nice! Thanks for the reply :) also looks like using some existing React libraries work as well https://twitter.com/dan_abramov/status/1025893444894568448.
Thank you for sharing! I'm really excited to see UI kit libraries, especially to use among teams. Curious if the code is exportable at all? It seems like it's setup to go from design directly to dev or even prod?
Also curious if existing React UI kit libraries like MaterialUI work with it?
Framer does something like this. I believe you have to pay to use any of their design tools though, maybe they will open source that as well one day.
Since you are coming from front-end development, I would suggest React Native. The biggest benefit is you will be able to bring similar knowledge of front-end code into native and vice versa. I personally love being able to jump between both, it's liberating being able to get in and write a native app with only prior knowledge of React. I'm sure Rick has a lot more to say though :)
I've really liked http://stash.ai recently. If you use Chrome, they have a simple extension that makes it easy to stash any site and categorize it.
I know this older, but saw this awesome site recently https://designgigsforgood.squarespace.com/

A bit biased, but I really like the illustrations my work does: https://planning.center/blog. We have a full-time illustrator that works on our blog illustrations as well as any other illustrations across our company.
