It's is really quite fluid.
The first time I saw this use was here: https://stripe.com/alipay
I am quite fond of TunnelBear's pricing page: https://www.tunnelbear.com/pricing/
Another concern of this design is that it's limited to the iOS Music app. This is a severe limitation considering how many people use other services to stream/listen music.
Not strictly design oriented and certainly a more long term project—I have committed to a 10,000 hour path of improving my skill as an illustrator (the person, not the Adobe one). After reading all these comments, the biggest issue that came to my mind was that those people are entirely oblivious about the negative impact they bring to the creators' community, mainly because they themselves aren't largely affected by what they do: They probably never had to worry about securing a domain name for their project/site.
Sure, they claim that they are just doing their "domain brokerage" business, which is totally legal. But, just like any other businesses, some practice certain actions that are less ethical—Seizing and charging domain names for an extra high price evidently falls under this category.
