Thank you!!!
Good to see Affinity getting some love on here. I switched years ago and haven't looked back. Has always felt like a much more legit app than Sketch to me.
Thanks for taking the time to write this thorough reply. Super helpful.
I've been using it for about a year. At first I used it only sometimes, but now I have fully switched off of Photoshop and Illustrator—haven't opened either of them in over a month. I really, really love Affinity. It's extremely fast and intuitive, and very sturdy and stable—definitely leagues ahead of Sketch in that regard. Best of all, it's a real native Mac app. Going back to CC feels even jankier now. In many ways, Affinity feels like the way I wish Photoshop or Illustrator worked.
This is nice and unexpected—feels pleasantly like the "old Apple".
If you want this, try Affinity Designer!
Because Apple didn't build one yet and neither did anyone else.
This sucks. Really not looking forward to trying to find a new app. The mailbox workflow was perfect—snooze and lists are all most people need to stay organized.
Can anyone recommend a good replacement on Mac and/or iOS? Everything else looks pretty overfeatured.
Edit: Idea. Maybe this is because Dropbox has the team working on a Gmail alternative? They have their own version of google docs now, so it seems plausible.
