    And you don't want to tell me that you can't read mono-spaced text, or? Maybe not as “easy” as a with one of the standard boring screen typefaces nowadays, but yes, I think you can read it pretty well, or not?

    Exactly that. Sometimes it's good not to follow all UX/UI rules, just to make another product that makes all KPIs and VCs go “Wow!”. There's more in life and aesthetics than a “perfect” UX design.

    funny that none of you ux/ui designers probably ever worked in minimal editorial print design, because that is where the ello design is coming from. monospace is a design choice that you can take in your graphic design approach. not everything has just to be super useful and boring through this. go ello!

    ello focuses on another kind of aesthetic and design approach, one that not comes from screendesigners, but more from the top notch editorial design field. monospaced fonts are a definitely a valid choice you can make in your print design, aswell as in editorial-like-screen design nowadays.
