Will definitely work what you're suggesting. Thanks for the feedback!
Oops :D
I've made some changes to this thing, added some features and fixed some bugs, make sure you check it out!
It's got to do with the Pomodoro Technique; even though the cycle length is not the same (25min) the whole idea behind this is that it should help you log what you've been up to during the day.
My thinking behind the clock counting backwards is simply "I can't be asked to log time by myself, so I need a damn alarm to tell me when to do it".
At the same time, I'm thinking the whole "how much I think this should take" vs "how much it actually took" could be something interesting to log as well... that's why I'm considering letting people change the cycle length every time, and probably even let them tell the tracker that they "need more time".
This will surely mean changing the whole UI and experience, so I'm not sure when I will get all of this done... but I've put it on Github, so I encourage anybody interested in helping out in any way you can!
I was kind of bored on sunday, and decided to try to do something with HTML5's localStorage, so that I wouldn't have to worry about databases and stuff being lost when the tab is closed.
The whole idea behind this is that I suck at tracking time, and this should help me (force me actually) to keep a better track of what I'm up to. Plus, it's always good to learn something new right?
Was wondering if you have any feedback at all (bugs, new features, ideas), and if this is something that you'd use.
Really appreciate your comments guys.
OMG IT'S MAGIC
Thanks!

I wrote CSS (and Javascript) for a very simple time tracker: http://unlayered.com/time/
I will probably rewrite it as I rushed to ship ASAP.
