It is high, but I think it's worth it. We've been a part of the private Alpha and it has the potential to really improve a lot of the design process. It already solved a lot of problems we've encountered in sharing design files and gathering feedback between designers, and it's basically v1.0 right now. Can't wait to see what they come up with to improve the product.
Also, you usually have a lot less designers on a team when compared to developers. And I like the fact that you pay just for the actual designers who collaborate on the files, and the viewers are unlimited.
+1
I have the luxury of having a Macbook and an iMac for work, so I usually update on my Macbook, make copies of files and then play around with that just to get a sense of the new version.
Didn't run into any issues so far working on two pretty big Sketch files!
Not really too heavy on the features, but it looks like there has been a ton of bug fixes.
They finally fixed that issue with the group not being resized immediately when you resize the content inside (you had to go in there and Esc your way out to refresh the group bounds).
The new vector guides are awesome.
Plugins are now auto-updated and disabled if not compatible. This may make some plugin managers obsolete, I wish they had something like https://sketchapp.com/extensions/ straight away in Sketch as well with one-click install.
There is a ton of good feedback on this on the related Hacker News discussion: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=14564084
If this turns out to be so important, there is no reason to update Sketch as soon as it comes out. When a Sketch update comes out, just wait until Invision updates Craft and that's it.
Nothing. On the contrary, that "t" always makes me fall in love with it again.
It was more of a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that Spotify moved to Circular (I think 3 months ago?), and the fact that Apple Music obviously took a lot of cues from Spotify (especially with the success of Discover Weekly).
Hey, at least it's not Circular! :)
I freaking LOVE that footer! An excellent presentation and experience. Just bought myself some sweet tooth. :)
