@tyler just got it, thanks a bunch!
I'd be interested if you got some. dennispkramer@gmail.com
I'd argue that this is worse than a normal keyboard. What it gains in versatility it loses in physical feedback.
Ever try to touch type on an iPad? Super tough.
I thought we were all from NY?
I dunno about the "R", as well as a number of other characters in the typeface they developed. That leg sticks out way too far and makes for some awkward spaces when kerning. Not bad overall though.
What's weird is that when it comes down to it in some cases, kinda both of them aren't that awesome looking
This might be targeted to all the wrong audiences (considering that DN is more web-focused, and who knows how many of you are climbers AND from NY), but Brooklyn Boulders is having an open submission art gallery for anyone who has work they'd like to show off.
This could be a cool thing to be a part of for those of us who still maintain a print portfolio or are into making posters and shit.
Matthew Anderson (http://www.ampersanderson.com) designed it and created the Kickstarter campaign to fund it (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ampersanderson/nyc-type?ref=live), but according to the About page Daniel Hunninghake was also involved, I assume to build it.
Oh yeah, very similar indeed. In both cases, I really like the honest, in-depth analysis of the traits that embody each neighborhood.
Sure, nothing beats walking around and checking the area out for yourself, but good pictures and considerate copywriting go a long way.

Bummer to hear! I also broke my clavicle recently. Happened 4 weeks ago on the left side, so luckily it's not my dominant arm.
It's possible that your break is worse than mine, but after initial swelling went away, I found myself fairly capable at using the mouse and keyboard once my hand was positioned in the right spot. It took some getting used to, using my other arm to move the broken one into place, but once it was stabilized on the desk surface, I didn't notice too much discomfort using a computer.
Hopefully you'll be able to get back to work in a day or two!
