With so many fonts available to choose from, it can be a bit intimidating to make a decision. Let's set aside the fact that choosing the right font depends on the brand, function, etc.
Just solely judging off of form (what is most visually appealing, etc.), what are some of your favorite fonts right now? Hopefully not Comic Sans or Papyrus!

This is my go-to replacement for a default system stack.
Their dynamic metrics formulas have made life a lot easier after building a few Sass mixins.

I'm using it on my personal site: bradleytaunt.com (although that's not really a "project").
I haven't used it extensively in any large UI system yet, but I think it's pretty clean :)
Awesome. I am not sure it will be good for UI system. It is quite characteristic. But it could work for smaller apps.
But for sites with character it is nice typeface and possible nice pair with the Space Mono.

Loving IBM Plex & Metropolis
IBM Plex is awesome. I hadn't seen it before, but I'm definitely going to start using it in projects.
Reddit's new use of IBM Plex ruined it for me. Not great as a product-wide web font.
I would politely disagree, I think Plex is unbelievably good and it's mixing of slab and sans makes it incredibly legible especially at small sizes on small screens and lends it a unique look. It's not the 300th tweak on Helvetica / DIN / Gotham / Roboto / San Francisco whatever new clone comes out this week because a large corporation doesn't want to pay license for the core font.

FF Mark is a font I've really been into over the past year. I saw it being used for the Balance cryptocurrency wallet.

Montserrat seems to be my default now for san serifs.
