How We Celebrated World Usability Day (amplitude.com)

This was a rough experience for me.
I really enjoyed the blog post, and I clicked around to view some other posts and they were nice. Admired the design as well.
After a few reads I thought, "Ok, what's this place all about?" All I could find was more articles, I clicked the logo, and more articles. But the article linked above talked about improve the product? Where was the product? Finally I look at the URL in my browser, and everything is linking to /blog.
There was no way to get back to the product page and figure out what this company was all about it. I find this to be a common issue on blogs, never linking to the root site and having to manually edit the URL to do so, which seems to be a poor usability example (in my modest experience).
Then what I discovered is there actually is a link to the homepage, but the "Now hiring" bar was covering it.
Frustrating when the original article was all about improving usability.
