Cool idea, I've done time-lapses like this with screen recording software, but it was pretty tedious to edit.

Interesting, this solves having to rec for hours while working. It takes a screenshot every change and composes an mp4?

It takes a screenshot every 6 seconds and only if there was a change.

This is to prevent hindering Sketch's performance.

And yes, then it composes a MOV file.

This is great! Can you also make a plugin for Adobe XD too? :D

Bought it before I tried it, tried to download it. The download says file not found. Emails to the listed accounts are bouncing.

Anyone actually able to download a file?

I'm just glad to see this idea come alive! https://cl.ly/2431a79cd968

Shared with my design mates, and I'm definitely going to try it out when back to design mode!

    Good luck!

Beautiful and usable idea for people that love showing their work, like me. recently moved from Sketch to Figma.

Any chances I could use that in Figma? or any alternatives that will work on any app or will take a screenshot of what you seeing anyways?

Thanks and great work here :)

This is great! I'm definitely gonna play with it and will likely buy it.

    A couple questions:

    • Let's say I'm working on a design over a couple of days. Can I "Start" my recording, then stop it days later?

    • If I work on multiple Sketch files while a recording is taking place, will it somehow record both? Or just the file where I initiated the recording?

Currently, a recording can be 12 hours max but if this is a request we might do it unlimited.

If multiple Sketch files are open, only the one where the recording initiated will be recorded.

Couldn't you just record using one of the hundreds of screen recorders and then put it in any of the built in video softwares and x600%?

      You can.

But then you have to take into account that if you record the whole screen, even when you check your email or your bank account, your screen will be recorded.

So you would have to pause and resume every time you go out of Sketch.

Even if you somehow record only Sketch, you have to start editing out all those long periods when Sketch is open but you don't actively work on it, so nothing changed for a long period and it's just recording for nothing.

And then you have to open the screen recording software and start editing the video and create a high-speed time-lapse. And so on..

This plugin was created to save you from all of this.

With this plugin, you just click Record and work as usual.
