What's the best font manager right now? I'm tired of SkyFonts...

Would love to hear what's out there and what everyone's experiences have been!

Aside: apparently typing "font" in the Story Title on DN automatically selects the Typography badge. Cool feature!

      +1 RightFont That's the best option for price and functionality for single or multiple designers with a shared library.

      I totally agree. I've been using Right Font for a while now and it works really nice. The google fonts are included. You can just search and activate, so you don't have to download them manually or use SkyFont. And the rest of your fonts you can sync through cloud (dropbox, google drive, etc)

        Can you organize (group or better: tag) fonts, e.g. by brand or project and sync these groups/tags to the whole team as well? I think that was the one crucial missing team feature last time I checked.

          You can organise fonts in lists. Not my whole team uses it, do I don't know if it syncs between macs.

      I really love using it! Especially the way you can simply connect it to third party services. Only downside for me: Very little products features updates.

      I was checking this one out, but I was a little confused. Mainly, does it sync from places like fonts.com and Google Fonts?

        Yeah, we have Google fonts in FontBase. fonts.com is not free to use, so can't have that, I guess.

    I am enjoying using Font Explorer X Pro, since Suitcase Fusion's latest release was terrible.

    I purchased a full license to Suitcase Fusion a few months prior to them releasing a new version. It wouldn't have been a big deal to me, except they said they would no longer support their Adobe plugins for the version I bought.

    So after a little more than 3 months from when I purchased the software (it was $100, so not cheap), the primary feature I used was no longer supported.

    I missed the free upgrade window by less than a month, and when I asked if I could get a prorated price on an upgrade, they declined and said I'd have to pay another $80 for an upgrade.

    Really put a bad taste in my mouth about how they treat their customers. I won't be buying anything from them again.

      This is what I use.. highly recommend. It's super easy, fast, and has a nice usable interface.

    I used Rightfont for years, but there price and license management is kind of strange. The brought Version 4 out, an "upgrade" which could have been just an 3.1 update (see https://www.producthunt.com/posts/rightfont-4) and forcing it to buy it because it came with an auto-update. Also the performance was getting worse so I switched to https://typefaceapp.com/

    I use Suitcase Fusion with the cloud synchro, very nice feature when you have more than one computer (iMac + MBP when I have to move). I highly recommend Suitcase Fusion or Font Explorer X. I heard that RightFont was a good alternative with a little price, someone told me too that FontBase is a RAM-heavy application (honestly, I didn't checked that)

    +1 for FontExplorer X Pro. This is purely because that's what I've been used to and it's hard for me to switch to anything else.

    I tried RightFont but asked for a refund an hour after using it because of things I've come to rely on on FontExplorer Pro. Also tried Typeface but also didn't like it.

    FontExplorer is expensive and it isn't perfect, but I've been using it for over 10 years so a lot of it is familiarity to be honest.

    I'm sure RightFont and Typeface will be good enough for a lot of people. The price is pretty good too. FontBase looks pretty sweet too though I'm always wary on free products (especially for something so essential like font management).
