Hey designers

I have recently been getting into conversational design and want to learn more about successful CUIs, VUIs and chatbots. Any advice (links, tools, books, sites) you could give to a chat newbie?

I'm asking for myself, not a friend. Just getting the feeling that chatbot design is considered lame nowadays because there are no good chatbots? Am I wrong?

What's the one resource you wish you had before getting into conversational UIs?
