The Bear app: Come to write, stay for the quality (underglass.io)

Looks nice and all, but natives Notes is good enough and works well across all devices.
Also, while I love markdown, why isn't there a reason to hide it's artefacts?
Only reason I went back to Evernote is that Bear requires a pro subscription to use the sync feature. I feel like syncing between devices is a huge factor for me - and when Evernote includes it for free, that's all it takes to pull me back away from Bear.
I love Bear more than Evernote - but can't justify paying a monthly sub just to sync some notes.. I would be happy to pay a one off fee - not a monthly sub though
"The Bear Pro subscription comes in two variant $1.49 monthly or $14.99 annually." Not even $2 per month to support an app I like? Count me in.
Sanctimonious tone aside - I agree with supporting apps I like. I just don't like Bear $2 a month more than Evernote.
Especially when I have many things I pay for monthly. I'm not a wealthy person, and every dollar counts.
Bear's my go to note taking app. Being able to simply organize my notes without a lot of UI overhead was a big plus to me. I used to use IA writer but Bear paired that with the simple organization, so I don't have to deal with finder and I was sold.
I use Bear, but the always-displayed markdown is a real turnoff. It's distracting. I don't understand why there's no toggle for that.
