What makes you say that?
No one working seriously in 3D uses Macs anymore, rendering is moving over to CUDA based engines and Macs don't ship with Nvidia.
$2000 PC will run circles around a $5K or even $10K iMac Pro because it has paltry GPU power and it's GPU can't even run the rendering engines you'd want to be using today.
Just seems a tad insulting to me for Apple to use imagery like this when they threw the Mac CG community under the bus.

What are you talking about? Chrome support background blur in multiple ways… Check your source before saying that ;)

Apple have disabled the background blur on Chrome, check the website in Safari
You can get the same effect in chrome with just two lines of code ;)

Having a launch image of UI Components seems to hint that is real.

Looks like Apple is trying really hard for the website to look mediocre in browsers other than safari.
Most of the website looks like info on the back of their products. Despite opening animation which is neat! Very technical and lack of emotions all over it, example: Scholarship tab - "Show us your creativity." so crude :(

It's really cute seeing all the UI elements in this style. Reminds me of the 3D stuff in Microsoft's fluent design video
Not as nice as last year when they had that gorgeous Geoff Mcfetridge illustration.
