Some fun examples of how not to design blogs. Thanks for sharing :)

Well written. Great article Lauren. It’s also worth considering why blog posts are written? For the average site it’s for ad revenue, and marketing. Webflow for example peppered this article with unobtrusive advertisement about their software. If the attention span is so brief for a single article...putting other content in the face of the visitor to keep them looking...is maybe an effective strategy? More impressions? Bad UX, but meeting business targets.

It is sad how short a person’s attention span is, and that so few even bother reading through to the end in order to share it. I do like the tech behind sharing quotes from Medium. BUT a quote shared can lack context. And I wonder what the average is on those that like a quote from Medium, that they see shared on social media, and those that click the article to understand the context.

I love when blogs provide short and long versions of posts. A well-written summary to understand the article on a whole, and toggle to read the full detail.

    Again. Good article.
