Experience Is a Feature (xavierbertels.com)

A slow app is less bad than an app that is missing a feature.
I beg to differ
No. Experience can't be removed, a feature can.
(Read just the headline¯_(ツ)_/¯)
I was confused by this as well, so I took the gamble and read the article.
"Experience" (in the article) is not the same thing as "User Experience".
The example used in the article is, people buy wedding shoes for the "experience", not necessarily the function (UX). This does not translate well to digital, but I guess you could classify some "weird" sites with poor function as an experience.
If anything, Xavier is comparing pretty UI to "experience", and UX to function.
¯_(ツ)_/¯ indeed
Nice article, Xavier :) As a UX Designer, this is exactly how I feel.
Hope Mono is going well!
Thanks Kyle! Happy the story resonates with you. We’re doing good, growing in terms of quality, which is what we set out to do, so very happy with that, thank you!
