The splash page doesn't seem to serve too much of a purpose. On the left-hand side once you're through, it has the same text.
It's actually helping reduce initial site load by serving as a preloader of sorts. Other than that; I like to think about it more as a cover to a book or an introduction of sorts.

I totally understand from a technical perspective, but I agree that it feels like a splash screen, which in the instance of a highly polished and modern site, doesn't really work. The difference between a click and a scroll could fix the feeling of it being a splash screen, just a thought...overall tho, totally stunning site + work!

Thanks Stephen! My buddy Laurens van Heems did all the front-end and the back-end is based on Semplice.I prototyped some of the interactions in After Effects before it went into code.

Love it! Really nice work on the cases too. Only mobile could use some work, which I think is essential in this era.
I'm wondering, as a Dutch designer, how did you manage to work in the US?

This looks wonderful Edvin! My only feedback would be to reduce the number of typefaces. If you can make do with the various weights and styles of 2 typefaces, it would make the entire thing more consistent. It might be just me though

Very nice, love it! Scrolljacking is always a bit controversial, but I think it works really smooth in your site.
Check the line height of the case study titles on mobile though, multi-line headings are running into each other. Otherwise top notch!
Thanks Christian! Definitely didn't want to mess with scrolling too much but I feel like a personal portfolio is the right place to experiment and focus on fun over extreme usability. And yes, mobile version is still in the works, right now it's a biiiit of a mess ;)
