Linsey, this is an absolutely gorgeous portfolio. It's bold and fresh. I especially love the consistency and attention to detail between various case studies, how you show typography choices, etc. Overall i's really solid and professional. Great work.

As some others have said, though, this is currently a very strong visual/web design portfolio. I have no doubt in my mind that it'll easily get you those kinds of jobs. But you also frame yourself as a strategy/UX professional on top of that, yet that doesn't come through in the case studies.

There's an industry adage that says your portfolio should only ever include the kind of work you want to keep getting. If that's the case, this is wonderful. Otherwise, I'd tweak it a bit.

WOW! I love it! Everything looks amazing, from colors to typography and layout. Only one thing: some transitions take 1 second, I find it to be a bit too long for hover effects. You could try playing a bit with the value, just to make it appear more snappy.

Gorgeous portfolio! Really liking the overall feel of the website.

Just a small thought, maybe it's worth noting. Maybe you could have included better imaginary to illustrate / show the actual work being done on each project on your index page, so we get an idea of the project right away from the hero image.

Currently for me it kind of struck me like it's a photography portfolio site at first glance. Maybe include the company logos, or some elements from the work itself next to the projects. As your header is stating "Designer of all things digital", I'm missing the digital element from those physical teasers of the projects on the index page.

Just an another small thing if you type your web address with http://www.linseypeterson.com/ it's giving an "This site can’t be reached www.linseypeterson.com’s server DNS address could not be found." error. You might want to redirect traffic from www to non-www, or resolve www.linseypeterson.com by setting up the correct CNAME in your DNS settings.

You have a great portfolio! Visually I think it's great. I want to echo what others have said about the content/language in terms of showing your process, or your experience on working through projects. Other than that I think you've done great work on this.

Super solid portfolio!

My only critique is that it’s very light on process explanation/assets (sketches, wireframes, etc.). Having said that, it looks like it’s geared towards potential clients who may be more interested in the end output vs. the process that got you there.

By not showing or talking about process you could end up surprising clients if you try to sneak in some research or validation in the more UX heavy projects.

Also, I’m always curious to hear about the whole team that worked on a project (stakeholders, engineers, other designers, etc.). Not sure if that applies to your projects but it’s one of the questions I asked myself as I browsed through.

Your portfolio is really strong, but limited by weak language.

The imagery – photography, illustration, type, color choices, and interaction – are rock solid, and stand as an inspiration. I hope I can make something this awesome with my portfolio!

However, I think to truly take it to the next level, you should upgrade your language. Right now, your case studies are simple, three paragraph blips, ellipsed between your strong design and illustration. In my UX education and in all of the research and portfolios I've seen, presenting your end result can only go far.

It reads like you overlooked the language, and after reading it, I didn't really take much away. You can get away with simplifying it even further, and turning that text into a subhead sized blurb for the intro, mid, and conclusion. But since you're selling yourself as a consultant and experience designer, I'd recommend beefing up the language so as to provide reasoning for your result. Basically, a stronger why that explains your end product.
