LGBTQI-R's.
I feel that there needs to be a more wholly-inclusive word - or initialism - to cover the group. You can't just keep adding additional letters to an acronym forever, and it's becoming unwieldily as more groups require additional labelling.
I don't have a suggestion for a solution, as not being a member of said group I feel it's probably better that I leave suggesting solutions to someone else out of respect... But from a marketing and visibility perspective, we need the acronym to be more readable! :)
(Also to be less rigid when it comes to people misrepresenting the acronym... I don't think it helps when someone tries to promote something positive for the group, and then be immediately berated because of a missed detail :) )
GSM. Gender and Sexual Minorities
Maybe, but I don't think from an equality point of view, people would like the term 'minority' used.
I dunno, it's been used and accepted by ethnic minority groups for some time. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't associate "minority" with anything negative.
I've started seeing LGBT+ being used.
I can't say for sure someone might feel not contemplated by it, but it seems like a good solution.
I'm a fan of LGBTQ+. I think the Q covers a lot of the bases.
I like "SAGA" - Sexuality and Gender Acceptance.
I like that too!
"Gays and edge-cases".
