Sketch Palettes 2.0 - Now Supports Saving Gradient and Pattern Fill Presets

over 6 years ago from , Senior Product Designer at Spotify

The Sketch Palettes plugin for saving and loading presets into the color picker has gotten a lot of use since I initially shared it here. There have been a bunch of feature requests and improvements since then, and one of the most common feature requests was to support gradients. Well, it now does!

With the help of Alan Dickinson, who reached out on GitHub, support for both gradients and pattern fills was added, as well as a dialog for selecting which fill types to include. We hope you'll find the new functionality useful!

Thanks so much for this Andrew (and Alan). This is such an amazing improvement to the colour palette handling available in Sketch. You guys are rockstars :)

This is a really great update. Our team uses it daily, and especially the gradients were missing. Awesome job.

    Great plugin Andrew!

I've submitted a PR to help facilitate and deliver auto-updates to your users via Sketchpacks Relay.

Let me know if you need any questions or help integrating Relay.

This is awesome, I use this plugin all the time.

Regarding color and swatches in Sketch, what do people use for changing a particular color across an entire document? I've been using the Craft plugin with style syncing, but it's a bit awkward and still doesn't recognize transparent versions of a color as the same color.

This is one of the most important Sketch plugins I use - thanks so much for your work and continued support!
