I recently started working for a 2-3 year old startup in a small city, but am getting the impression that I'm expected to start at 7:30 AM and finish sometime around 6:30 - 7 PM. It's not forced... but am kind of feeling the pressure to do so.

I also only quoted a day rate, assuming day length would be something closer to 8 hours.

I obviously am going to bring it up with them, but wanted to get DN's opinion before hand.
