      Technically, yes, but the previous "free" version was essentially "Host the sync engine on your own server." Not exactly a simple undertaking for most people, and while I definitely have the technical skill to figure it out, I don't have the time. So personally, I'm pretty stoked about this new basic version. :)

    Installed it a couple hours ago. I like it, but it's making the fans on my MBP go crazy from time to time and it already depleted my battery. Now I have to go back to my desk to plug in.

    Back to web gmail.

    I've tried numerous mail clients and they never stick. Definitely giving this one a try though.
