Refreshing to see 'I raised some money and here's how I'm spending it sensibly'.

Looks great! Product demo idea for Plasso: Start selling Jason's Plaink desks so the rest of us don't have to make our own ;D

Pretty much every time I hear about something Drew has done I'm impressed. Not just because the work is amazing but the attitude and ethic behind it is so admirable.

Great to see this sort of thing does happen in a world of indecent amounts of money being blown against the wall by startups who offer nothing.

Sounds like $1.2m is going to get around $3/4m value. Great work

I like Drew and I like Plasso, but doesn't this entire article amount to, "... by adding less than $6k to my Amazon cart"? I don't get it.

Thanks for posting, Drew. Speaking from experience, it's surprising how much imitation mid-century stuff and Eames replicas you can get for cheap. ;)

For anyone looking for a budget office chair I'd have to recommend the IKEA Markus.

There aren't a lot of adjustability options, but it is very comfortable and has a 10-year warranty. Hard to beat for a $200 chair.

    Very beautiful decorating work.

Please, please get mechanical keyboard instead of chiclet crap key. There is some nice minimalistic looking one like Filco Majestouch-2 Ninja, TKL version works too (without numpad). But for budget version, I don't know much about models but I'm sure there's some too.

ANYONE who used mechanical keyboard CANNOT go back to any kind of keyboard like rubber, membrane, chiclet, etc.

I'm so tired looking at designers/front-end developer or even back-end developers who don't have mechanical keyboard. It pains my fingers.

Depends on who's working in the office with you. Some people may not like hearing the click-clack of a mech (even with brown switches with dampeners). I use MX Blues at home and an Apple wireless keyboard at the office.

You'll hear people chattering, papers crumbling, cars out on the street, and all various noises you'll hear. Clacking is extra and it's not that loud on brown switch without dampeners.

I personally hate the sound of mechanical keyboards in the office.

Then don't use blue switches or other old-school switches that are loud, use dampeners and use quieter switches like brown or non-tacticle red.

Anyway this is aimed for a workstation in own room or a wall.
