Pair designers & developers to work on personal projects over the break?

Hi, we are development team (mobile, web & hardware). Our clients typically bring their own designers to projects but we really enjoy working directly with designers and try to select one or two personal projects a year to help with. Likewise, we have personal projects that, while they "work," suffer horribly from our fumbling design efforts.

Any designers need development support and/or coaching on personal projects over the break? We can at least commiserate... and maybe help each other. I would recommend a focus on either Native iOS, React Web, Native Android. DM me or comment below. Thanks!

    Thanks for the responses. It's been nice to connect with you on Twitter and learn about your personal projects. For what it's worth, I would categorize the responses into three groups:

    • Change the World : love this, the projects have ranged from better ways to shop online, to advising on clean energy options. wow.

    • Learn to Code : here the projects are small, task focused or framework focused; this makes sense, of course, and I guess the analogy would be for a developer like me diving deep into font design!

    • Community : it's been nice to see responses like the one below (Thanks Trevor!); it seems this community really enjoys being productive and offer to help.

    I'll try my best to turn this into a positive experience & look forward to chatting with you over the break!

      I'm in. UX Designer here working with a non-profit to create a mobile app to distribute excess food to the hungry. Looking to pair up with a dev who can create Android apps.

    Really cool suggestion Nye!

    Last weekend I helped a friend who had a good idea, but could dramatically benefit from a one day prototype to help his campaign. I'd love to help out and design something interesting over the break.
