    Our team has done an amazing job for the last 4 months, building from the ground up this new version of illustrio. More icons, more customization options and instagram-like filters. We are really excited about this release. Your feedback and support on ProductHunt are much appreciated.

      Is Illustrio now exclusively icons (instead of the illustration/visuals previously included)? I can see how the knowledge barrier of implementing complex interactive svg illustrations might have inhibited that business model (whereas icons may appeal to a more confident dev audience). I am excited about the future of svg interactivity on the illustration end and was impressed by Illustrio's previous model. This seems like a more viable service but I'm curious about how that decision was reached.

        Hello Drew,

        We did learn a lot and maybe we should write a post to explain the many decisions and challenges we faced. To make it short: data ! Our users download more icons and they want them to be consistent with their brand.

        But don't think we forgot about interactivity

    I think this looks and feels really slick — it gets right to the product, and doesn't shove a lot of marketing at me before I can play. It took me a second to figure out what "A smarter icon library" meant, so perhaps there's an opportunity to lead the user down to the bottom of the page where the styles are?

    Also, the pricing doesn't quite work for someone like me — I'd love an opportunity to try a few free icons out before committing to a plan. Additionally, perhaps you can bundle a few icons as "packs" and sell those as an intermediate option?

    Either way, excellent work, Didier.

      Thanks for your feedback. We have a few ideas to make it even more easy to understand the "Smart" library. A few words about the pricing:

      • we do have free icons (they are marked as free) you just need to sign up to download them;

      • we do have 2 packs: $10 for 20 icons, $20 for 50 icons;

      • we have way more coming that will give more value to the subscription. Stay tuned
