Been a Verge reader since "This Is Your Next"... But this is really bothering me. Why can't they seem to nail body text styling? On the previous design it was way too thin, who's bright idea was it to use Light weight at 17px before?

Now it seems too bold and bulky. They're using Helvetica at 18px but it seems as big as Mediums body text of 21px. It's annoying to read, how can they overlook such an fundamentally important part?

Overall it's an uplift, but couldn't say I'm 100% onboard.

Finding the homepage is a bit lost and lacking in hierarchy, but the article pages are really lovely.

Don't mind the redesign, but I'm going to miss those serifs on the wordmark. It was quite a unique look for a tech site, but now its kind of blending into the ambiguity of all the geometric sans serif logos that have recently emerged.

Umm.. what exactly is the redesign? It feels a bit too loosely defined; with a few visual changes here and there.

I rarely visit theverge.com, so I don't know if it's been like this for a long time or if it came with the new design: what happened to the navigation on article pages?

Let's take these two[1][2] articles as an example. There's no navigation on those pages. Am I missing something?

It's quite cool but the typography is a bit all over the place and once you get past the main hero article section it is a bit of a mess.

Feels like every other tech site now.. boring.

The new homepage bothers me somehow, now it really looks like all other tech sites. I'm assuming some of their decisions had to do with heat maps and other user data, but that long ass list after the hero unit really does not make it for me. The body text is a bit heavy, but the article page doesn't bother me as much as de homepage.
