I have a new layout this morning. Seems to only affect the play bar area and the side bar.
The sidebar looks updated, too. Yours is a lot darker, and doesn't have any icons for each category.
Mine looks like this:
Interesting, I have a different set of icons on mine:
I've got it as well, looks nice and clean.. Yet to actually properly use it.
I have the new UI and really digging it. Much cleaner and feels like it takes off some cognitive load from the user.
Want. Love the clarity here.
They better not take away my full screen song progress track bar. Why would they not use the available real estate?
Precise control over song location is a big reason I feel Spotify is a better experience than iTunes.
Bon Iver, huh? Casey, Casey, Casey…
Bon Iver is fantastic. Get out of here.
I'm not seeing that yet. Maybe it is an A/B test.
I hope it's only an A/B test, I assumed it was a new update we were simply stuck with. It's really been messing with me so far.
I wonder if part of the goal was to get a bunch of actionable areas directly under the advertising banner for free users?
I don't mind the new layout. Playbar reminds me more of Rdio :D
I miss Rdio SO MUCH
Me too.... hug?
I was inspired by the death of Rdio (r.i.p.) to design and build a new music player -> https://voltra.co
I keep finding myself automatically going to where the old UI was and clicking on empty space :(
Same here NO THAT IS NOT THE NEXT SONG AREA ANYMORE SHANE, GET IT TOGETHER.
Crtl + arrow right/left
Cmd + arrow right/left on Mac i guess
