Really cool design, but the background is to bright and distracting from your information, in my opinion. I think if you lowered the alpha on the background it would be more effective.

Ah! Could you describe what you're seeing a bit? I've got a bit of JS that moves the BG position according to mouse position, but didn't know anything was affecting mousewheel (I don't have a wheel). Thanks for the heads up!
bg position jumps a bit when i scroll via mousewheel; is static via touchpad.

I really dig the background. I don't think you should lower the alpha, I think it makes more sense with your design to keep the saturation and alpha to the max, but I'd maybe play around with using a different color for the background shapes so they don't compete as much with the content. The thing that gets me is the jankiness as you scroll down.

The video Jim posted above captures what I'm seeing --but I see it jump around on my touchpad as well.

The background is great, and the heavy padding and borders on the content make it very clear. Reducing the alpha of a background is a conservative response to a problem that doesn't exist and would sacrifice this design's greatest asset which is how immediately striking it is.

Noted! I've been working on a few revisions, with different box outline/shadows/etc, and with different background patterns. I'm thinking I might kinda change it over time, swapping out colors and patterns when I get the whim.
