This might be the feature that gets me to upgrade.
So real
Amen.
This makes the Fireworks user in me happy :)
Oh lovely Fireworks. Does anyone know if it works on Sierra?
Here here!
Hear hear?
This is a fantastic update to an app I've come to live in. I have to admit, after opening 4-5 files (~15mb each) it has become incredibly slow in comparison to opening them as new windows before Sierra.
my sketch file has become very slow after the mac os update :(
Updated to Sierra just because of this.
While making the slow, excruciating switch to Sketch from Illustrator, this was one of the things that absolutely was driving me nuts.
I can't believe I'm doing the same :)
Me too :)
When i open existing sketch files, they open a new window instead of opening into a new tab.
System Preferences -> Dock -> Prefer tabs when opening documents -> Always
thanks, this works!
Yay!!
Tweeted about this a couple of weeks ago. Glad to see we have tabs now!

Anyone know how to keyboard shortcut to get to the other tab?
I have not updated to the new OS yet, but maybe it could be: ctrl+tab (like in finder / browsers)
and if you hold down shift it goes backwards.
nah, you can swap windows with cmd ` but not tabs...
i was guessing it was ^ + SHIFT + [ arrow right ] but not working
Strange it would not follow suit with finders short cuts. :( If there isn't a shortcut this will probably not be a feature I use. As it is quicker to hot switch projects right now with cmd`.
Yeah really needs a keyboard shortcut.
EDIT: Just found it. Ctrl+Tab will switch tabs.
just awesome!

How to fix this?
Report it to Bohemian Coding?
Done! Really good to upgrade.
How has everyone's experience with the upgrade to macOS Sierra been?
I too would like to know, I typically have been a day-one updater but it usually bites me. Been trying to hold off.
Sierra’s been great for me. Only a few minor issues throughout the beta, and the GM has been rock solid. Probably better than 10.11. Obviously take caution with things like this, but I’m glad I updated early.
my sketch is damn slow!
The only thing I'm bummed about is Transmit's disk mount feature doesn't work yet :(
sweet
is there any way to open new on a tab instead of new window?
Yes.
There's an option in settings (mission control).
You can have it set to open only in full screen or at all times etc.
?
I don't see a setting in the Mission Control System Preferences related to "only in full screen or at all times etc." I'd love to set this up though!
Awesome!! Thanks George :D
not very intuitive, seems you have to go to Window -> Merge All Windows to create a tabbed window. from there you can drag tabs out as separate windows as expected. is there another way i've missed?
I found it by View -> Show Tab Bar
