Hey Guys! I just launched my latest project, Bitter Renter. It's an interactive, no-nonsense guide for first-time renters in NYC. Let me know what you think!
I like it a lot, quick, easy to understand, AND paints a mostly realistic idea of how terrible it is to be a first time renter in NYC. Great job
haha thank you!!
This is some amazing work. Enjoyed reading the Medium posts about the process as well.
that's awesome, thank you!
Really nice job! Wish I had this before I moved here.
This is so helpful!
Loveeee this, Kim!
Curious how you got the data? And if its from an API or just numbers you crunched?
Thank you!! Still trying to find the best API for the data. For launch I just crunched the numbers from apartments that are currently available for rent in each borough.
Maybe Zillow's API? Link: http://www.zillow.com/howto/api/APIOverview.htm
superb job Kim!
thank you!!
This is awesome! You did an excellent job of taking something complex and intimidating and making it more approachable.
Any plans on rolling this out for other cities?
That was the goal, so that's great to hear! I'm contemplating doing other cities, but no plans yet.
I bet some cities/urban planners would commission you to do one for them!
This is really great and an actually useful tool for first-time apartment hunters in NYC (as a veteran, I wish I had these tips years ago!). The site's super quick, with slick design and nice colors, as well! Bravo.
me too lol, thank you!!
Easy to use, quick. İmpressive work. Gratz!
