    I have pretty fast wifi (120mb/s download) and I can't get past the loading screen after over a minute.

    UPDATE: the issue seems to be the ?utm_source=designernews that is added when linking from DN. once removed the site loads as it should.

    So, yeah this site is beautiful! maybe I was the only one with the loading issue but I really dig this site!

    Two technical things:

    • You have console logging happening on every scroll event. This is certainly useful for debugging but it isn't free (performance-wise) in production
    • The homepage itself is 10MB, most of it being from images. On a 3G network the page doesn't display until 10 seconds in and takes 2 MINUTES for all the images to load. In a best case scenario, your site will cost your users 60 cents.

    All that said it's a really pretty site!

    I'm a big fan of the hover and active states and the bits of motion they have.

    Also, the subtle gradients add a nice bit of color.

    Loving that mobile menu icon. The rest of the site is also incredible.
