Just had the Sketch 3.7 update come through. Made the schoolboy error and updated instantly, now I can't open any project files.
Just a heads up this may happen to you too. I've contacted Bohemian, awaiting response.
If anybody has a fix in the mean-time, please share!

Works great. New symbols are a huge improvement.
What does this mean though "Text overrides are more flexible and they now move their trailing layers"

Hey guys, just look for the old sketch file in your Mac's trash and get it back. This hack around can help us to open the old sketch file while waiting for Bohemian.

Generally how it goes with new Sketch releases
It's gotten a bit like iOS and OSX, where it's best to wait for the .1 bug hotfix version.
I had same problem this morning and I downloaded the previous version 3.6.1 from here: http://www.sketchapp.com/download/sketch-3.6.1.zip You can have both opened at the same time in your computer.
This worked for me!!! Thx!!! :D
There is a workaround that worked for me. Download the new version from http://www.sketchapp.com and replace the one in your applications folder.
After that it worked for me and opens all files just fine.
