Why do you want to redo something that already failed once?
Just because LayerVault failed doesn't mean the idea was bad. They just went about a lot of things the wrong way so it came down to their execution of that idea. Not to mention the pricing was =O
EDIT: Also, there were probably a lot of other unknowns which I don't want to speculate or make assumptions about.
It doesn't?
Of course not. They were tackling a big and very important problem (not a bad idea, as I said) but their execution (forcing a certain workflow on designers) was.
jk it was a good idea.
I would say that I'd like to know a little bit more about the project. And what your looking for in a designer.
Sorry, as I viewed Designer News this time and looked at the title I thought about the same: That people that didn't know the project will not just help.
Koral is aimed to be a replacement/successor to LayerVault. When LayerVault resigned Gabriele made a new post here on Designer News where he searched for participants in a LayerVault successor. So, that basically the concept. Nothing more to say, I think.
What kind of designer are you looking for?
Web/app designer
Also added the paragraph to the Github issue.
