Guess the reason they hired Geoff Teehan was to provide a bunch of open source design assets to the community.
Not a bad job
Far from it. I actually spend 95% of my time directing a few different design teams here. This stuff is more of a passion and legacy that I enjoy.
I do think it's important for the community to have at its disposal helpful tools and resources that are trustworthy. Jeff Smith (a designer on the News Feed design team) has been driving this initiative with me. He and many other designers throughout all of Facebook are the ones who are creating a ton of great resources for designers to use.
My comment was a joke. I figured you didn't close your 20+ person agency to create design freebies for Facebook :)
I love Designer News when those things happens: Geoff Teehan itself answering. Thanks!
I also wanted make this devices available to Framer immediately, including a simple prototype example and Sketch source file smile emoticon Please enjoy.
