Maybe Probably this is sentimental mush, but I feel sad that so many of DN users likely don't know what it was born out of. Would love to have a digital memorial created on behalf of LayerVault for starting DN.

Just to add a little context here... I'll be working with Dan to make the most out of the useful and cool parts of LayerVault. I was the first hired employee at LayerVault and helped to build most of the features in the service (with the help of several of my esteemed colleagues, of course).

While we have some cool ideas on what to do with the LayerVault tech, we would love to hear suggestions from you on what parts of the service you really liked and would like to see resurrected in some way, shape, or form. The overarching plan is to break the site up into various modules that can be sold or licensed as a standalone product, e.g. preview generation or syncing.
