Great to see a Windows tool :)
It's awesome to see Windows tools. That's really good for market and competition. Not for me, I'm not getting close to Windows soon :)
I wish they had gone for a more "metro" look though.
It's a Windows app but the window chrome looks like OS X.
That being said, this looks good! Two years after I leave Windows behind, cool apps start popping up.
What can I say. We really love OSX interface, but also we love Windows as an operating system overall. So why not combine the best of two?
Haha, good point. I used to run RocketDock and WindowBlinds on my old PCs.
I would love to see integration with Brick.im. That's what I use for fonts, when I'm not self-hosting.
Never heard about Brick.im. Looks interesting, though. We'll take a look on it, thanks, Paul!
The app looks fantastic. I hope to see something like that for OS X.
How you plan to make money if at all?
Thanks. We're working on a OSX version. We've also got some ideas about how to make money from it, but we aren't sure just yet.
Feel free to ask any questions or leave feedback regarding the website or the app.
Looks like a beautiful program and I can't wait to use it, but I can't see all my fonts for some reason. I have been using FontNav and still have that installed so could that be what's stopping FontBase from working properly?
Currently FontBase displays only fonts, that are installed on your PC (in the system fonts folder C:\Windows\Fonts). Also, FontBase is not displaying duplicate fonts. That being said, the new update, that will add custom folder support is almost ready to ship!
I am not sure what FontNav does, but FontBase should not be related from it.
Fantastic! I have many fonts in different folders so that looks to be the issue. I look forward to the update. Thanks for your reply, Dominik!
