I like the idea. I like the intent. I'm not so sure about how to execute this though. A chat room with more than 50 people trying to talk all at once? That doesn't seem like it would work with the "chat room" model.
Really well thought-through idea. A good exercise in product design in general.
But at what point would Twitter be sacrificing the simplicity and clarity of their offering? I already thought that Moments felt tacked on. Adding groups to Twitter feels like it's trying to be everything to everyone. But then again, I barely use it so maybe I'm just grumpy.
That's a great point. I thought about that too...and to be honest I think it might make the product a little bloated but I feel that because this might be a good trojan horse to get new users interested in Twitter (more than Moments is) and be contained in it's own separate tab, it should be part of the core app. But yeah...I'm not sure. It might be too much.
Great case study. But that's a whole bunch of writing to essentially merge Whatsapp & Twitter.
Ha I haven't really used WhatsApp. Do they have a feature like this?
I was just thinking the same thing, but groupme...
Awesome idea daniel, but how are you going to handle spam? Twitter is pretty well known for it's spammy users and it can get outta control pretty quickly.
Really Like this idea, i could imagine using it while watching live events or tv shows. But do you think it be could be used to make Twitter money?
This reminds me a lot of how people are now using Slack to build communities. Really great idea for improving Twitter.
How twitter's list vary from this ?
