those stats seem... untrue
Appreciate your feedback William. We've very proud of our community. You can see some of the work that Crew members have done here: Crew.co/stories.
If you have any questions about our process etc feel free to email me at michael@crew.co.
Not trying to be a dick here, but 31 up-votes seems lackluster for a new DN feature.
You sure this product or its branding fit the DN community?
Interesting, I could see this being very beneficial for a small number of freelancers. Seems like everyone's trying their hand at solving this problem.
Oh, neat. How does this work for designers/devs who'd like to take on some of these projects?
Hey Dan! You can apply to join the community here: https://crew.typeform.com/to/CmYJYi.
Once your account is approved, you'll get an email when a new project is submitted and you'll have an opportunity to be shortlisted for it.
For more info on our process, check out our "How it works" section: https://crew.co/how-it-works
Awesome, thanks for the quick response!
How does this work when you're already a member of Crew?
If you'd like to be part of the DN community (You'll still see the Crew projects you currently see) email me at michael@crew.co and I'll add you so you can also see the projects for DN.
Can I use this to find a developer for a personal (aka: no money involved) project?
Unfortunately, our platform doesn't accept revenue-sharing/equity projects as the sole means of payment. Crew was started with the intention of matching vetted projects with quality work.
I would recommend checking local hackathons or any Startup Weekend events (startupweekend.org) that are available in your area. With these events, you can pitch your idea to a room full of developers/designers, and hopefully find a co-founder for your business!
If you have any questions, we're always available. You can reach me specifically by email (michael@crew.co), or another member of our team by chat on Skype @Crewlabs.
