If you had to name the best product design teams today, what would be your list? Let's keep it to digital products (software) for now.
Invision. Over the past year they have been on point.
Agree 100%! They are so competition focused and they are killing them on every side.
They are the only company I can think of that received a huge influx of capital and actually shipped new features in the same year. Big hat tip to the team here.

You can't beats these guys. Been around since I was young and still making great stuff. Nothing too crazy; just great fundamentals. They just get it.
Intercom, Invision
Google and Apple no question.
I also like Mixpanel, F-I, Metalab (Flow, Slack), Stripe, PayPal, among other great ones.

Right—why? They've launched one "redesign" in the last five years.
Look Michael, I don't know what kind of opinion you have regarding design, but I personally don't consider it disposable. It's not like brands should redesign themselves many times to be awesome.
Paypal's a company from 1999, and they have firm brand guidelines that need to be respected by redesigns, and I think that their US version and their little changes are little by little, getting better and better.
Big brands have a lot of trouble pushing changes against the already established brand. So yes, I think PayPal is making real progress on their branding.
Right, that's why I was asking. You threw a name out there that's synonymous with terrible experiences. I was simply asking for your reasoning as a point of discussion...

Love what they've been doing with the Avengers movies.
Pebble (Time) They've got a little bit of different style than some mentioned, but I think they've gone into a fantastic direction.
Not sure it your looking for agencies or companies, but the teams at Pinterest & Uber are doing some fantastic work.
I'd agree on Uber but strongly disagree on Pinterest.
I'm curious - why is the Pinterest Product team not one of the best product design teams doing fantastic work?
Their team that built out the search function where it parses the terms and assigns classification based on noun, verb, etc, was brilliant.
