Two things to note:
1) Make sure you click inside the little preview window before hitting command+V, otherwise it will paste the image onto your canvas.
2) If you want to get your image OUT of the fill and exported somewhere else, you can click in the little preview window on the fill, command+C to copy, and then command+V on your canvas to paste the original image.
Thanks for the tips.
Sketch should add an active indicator for that little preview window or enable drag&drop
there is drag-and-drop to the little window! Just no indicator :(
Excellent points AJM, thanks for sharing.
Great tip! I've been using image fills with the content generator app but never knew that you could copy/paste into the file area. I never used it because I never wanted to save a bunch of images.
Same here! Awesome tip Jeremy! Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed the tip Tony!
Thanks for the tip. Is there any way to adjust the image once it is in the object though?
Thanks for a tip, It would be much better if you were able to drag the image as you want.
Agreed, hopefully Sketch will add this feature soon!
