Hey all, I'm curious about the tools that other designers use on a daily basis. It'd help me or anyone else to learn and explore new ones. So here I'm sharing my menubar.

I actually went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo! I just graduated in June.
Almost everything is a distraction
plus 1 for this. To me, this is a pitfall for Macs. Some apps really don't need the accompanying menu bar icon to begin with.
Did you see that El Capitan is going to break this. System Integrity Protection is going to prevent system things like battery, notification center, etc. from being hidden.
Hopefully, they figure out a fix before it launches in the fall.

You can download my settings and import them as your own in BTT, if you'd like. And here's that applescript in case you're interested.
You can ditch that Chrome icon by selecting 'Hide Notifications Icon' in the main Chrome menu. (It's right below 'Warn Before Quitting')
FYI on Chrome Notifications: if you're running latest version (I'm on 43.0.xx—I don't know when they added this), you can choose to hide the Notifications icon by going to the menu item "Chrome -> Hide Notifications" — it worked like a charm for me!

How do you guys manage to use Flux, considering our vocation?
I agree with you on this. Anything that changes the calibration of a display is not good for design.
Personally, I just turn it off when I need to focus on color. I don't mind the warmed colors when laying out text, etc.
Because I'm usually not working on design stuff that late at night anymore. maybe emails and planning but usually not pixel pushing. If I am, just use disable for an hour or until sunrise in the menu.

I like keeping my system lean.
At home I also run flux.
I currently use dropbox for sharing screenshots but would love to know about the features that makes droplr standout.
My main likes:
Checkout there site, its down at the moment. Not sure why.
+1 for keeping things simple. 
Also, for the people using Sip and having to put up with that bug that fucks up all of your windows, ColourSnapper 2 is out and unlike Sip, it will leave your windows alone.

Also Is there a way to get the Chrome notifications menu icon away forever? I remember I done it before but it came back after I restarted Chrome.
Edit: ok im a idiot, seems its a lot easier than I thought, must have been updated since the last time I tried to do it.

I redesigned Caffeine's & Color Oracle's icon to make them retina friendly and consistent with the other icons.

I like mine to be clean and minimal. All I have are the basic OSX default icons. I used to use a little status light app but it's since been replaced by a row of LEDs above my monitor running off a RasPi :)
The rest are mostly just Apple stuff except for Day-O for the calenda, date, and time.
I hid the spotlight icon via command-line, and should probably hide Alfred too.

Also using Flashlight to make Spotlight better.
