Site Design: Vanhawks (vanhawks.com)

Just this morning while I was riding into work, I thought, "I wish my bike was connected to the internet."
Regarding the site, though—I'm curious why this was given a typical landing page treatment, rather than some expanded, informative shoppable product page. 'Order Now' leads to a weirdly asynchronous experience. I was expecting to begin a purchase or checkout flow—not to be taken to a really, really weird order-summary-in-product-customizer page with a "Continue to shipping" CTA. Looks and feels like the backend of an e-com platform, not the front—like I'm making selections in a CMS or something.
Photography and photo treatment on the landing page is nice.
