Does anyone happen to have experience with designing for physical products or even just creating them in mass scale?

Context: I'm right now producing a line of socks and would love if I could meet some veterans in physical good production/design.

I feel like I'm doing things wrong and kind of wish I had someone to tell me if it's just a feeling or if I actually am doing things wrong.
