What was designed here!?
They would have got away with it if it weren't for that pesky kid ..
Good job, Taylor.
A good move she did(or, so she thought), but a wrong move overall. Now she will look bad if she doesn't release on Apple Music. Eddie Cue is literally saying "That was easy, your move, now."
Interesting that Taylor was almost apologetic towards Apple, when they were offering absolutely no payment during those three months. Whereas Spotify pays no matter what - just at a higher rate from premium subs.
Standing up for "indie artists" is fair and sounds noble, but it is a bit hard to believe when you are literally the biggest and most brand-friendly artist in the last 5 or so years.
She should be pushing to change the way streaming services distribute their funds if she really cares about indie artists. It should be a percentage of individual users' subscriptions, rather than each month's total plays as a whole.
— thanks to Taylor Swift.
