You would think that they would use the San Fransisco font on the page introducing the San Fransisco font. Oh well. They probably don't want anyone downloading the webfont.
UI Font ≠ Brand Font.
They’re signalling San Francisco is their UI typeface, seems Myriad Pro Light is still their Marketing typeface.
It’s just a system font. The WWDC video explains it well.
Did this 'introduction' leave anyone wanting more?
Here it is... (windows compatible) https://www.dropbox.com/s/pp2q60ta03mdc1y/San-Francisco-UI-and-COMPACT.zip?dl=0
I think this is kinda sorta illegal to share SFO via dropbox
Oh well, it should be open source anyway.
Pretty sure San Francisco is reason enough to download El Capitan immediately. History will not be kind to 2014's Year of Helvetica mishap.

Can someone download and share link to the font? I haven't enough permissions :c
A person on Macrumors posted them. It's not perfect though, since the person patched it to act as a System UI font [1].
Apparently, San Francisco uses a few special typographic features only available in El Capitan.

I also don't have enough permissions apparently.
EDIT: If anyone could share the proper version, that would be fantastic.
The font is exactly the same, the patching doesn't alter the font visual properties. It only allows the font to be recognized as a system font and loaded when OS X boots, if it's in /Library/Fonts.
Placing a system font in ~/Library/Fonts still causes OS X to use it as one.
Oh, I thought it only worked on the root directory. :\
I tried it out on Yosemite. I liked it, although seemed a little thin. Has some line height issues so I reverted back to default.

I wish they made a simple type specimen graphic instead of just SF in huge letters.
I would love a type specimen poster too
OOh, A webpage showcasing typography, set in a different typeface than they are advertising
I'm more happy about this than I really should be.
