Wow. That is absolutely horrendous. Everything is white. Like who thought this was a good idea? No contrast and poor use of whitespace.
U must be trollin lol. White space is not the enemy.
It's a photo sharing app what else are they supposed to fill the whitespace with? Clearly they want it to be the same experience you have on mobile.
definitely 'fresh' and clean but wondering what this signals for brand identity...no more blue bar....the app probably changes to this flat white look in future?
Definitely frames photos, emphasizing focus on them more
Bland as fuck
Exactly.
The content, however...
Everything I want to see stand out well: photos, names, descriptions and comments.
The rest blends out nicely.
I'm really happe that then used a LOAD MORE button and not an automatic infinite scroll thing.
The login form needs some work... Couldn't see it doing anything as I input my login/password wrong a few times. Javascript only...
Not a fan of the images just blending in the white without a frame on my profile.
Same with the full-view image, it merges with the background / images and doesn't give it full justice.
That said it's nice and fresh. Just too bland for my liking.
I'm finding it harder to look at the pictures, in a sea of white, always-on pixels.
I wouldn't mind seeing a version that takes this to the extreme and shows almost nothing but the photo until you hover.
I kinda like it, it's very inspired by VSCO I think.
The only thing that looks weird for me it's the "Load More" button.
I'm torn. I don't think I like the design very much. However, I seriously think this is the best example of making photos stand out that I've ever seen. I keep going back and looking at it again, and all I see is the photos (which is what I want to see, after all).
Nice! Works so much better on mobile browsers!
