These movie UI's always overwhelm me, in the best way possible. So many details, so much going on, UI kid in a candy shop.

It would be funny to see a side-by-side comparison of movie UIs next to what the actual software used for robotics/engineering/fancy scientific stuff looks like right now…

  Haha, yes I'm sure it's a klutzy UI mess. Who knows if the gap will shrink though, the UI designer for Tron and Oblivion was recently hired to do the UI for a security startup: http://fusion.net/story/107812/a-security-start-up-hired-the-tron-legacy-designer-to-create-a-killer-data-visualizer/
