Hello everyone, super excited to launch the new version of TheNews. Now you can enjoy reading Product Hunt, Hacker News and Designer News side by side with the new design that I’ve worked on with @twnsndco. Don’t forget to adjust your columns with our subdomain hack :)
http://ph.thenews.im for 2 columns layout with PH on the left and HN on the right. http://dhp.thenews.im for 3 columns layout with DN on the left, HN in the middle and PH on the right.

  Nice work! This is a very useful site. I have two suggestions for improvement:
  1.) Decrease the font-size of the column headers (Designer News, Product Hunt, Hacker News) to about 20px with 1px letter-spacing.
  2.) Add a button to toggle the visibility of each news column

How do I reverse to DN + HN only? for me personally PH is just noise. I use The News daily!

        This is a perfect example how we as a users don't like change. Even if its logical. It looks better. The improvements are logical but I can't help but notice that now it loads just a bit slower and is simply different. It's not the same. Now I know how the users of craigslist would feel.

I've been using The News on my iPhone for the past year although recently I started using 3 different apps: the official Product Hunt app, MiniHack and DN Paper. I wouldn't say the experience is necessarily better (DN Paper, for example, doesn't show text link within comments) but I do love the design of these apps especially the customization options and night mode (or modes in the case of DN Paper which has several themes).

Amazing ! I use it everyday and the update is neat. I have just a problem, not sure if that bothers me alone, but that top header movement on a hover isn't that user friendly :/

  Hey, thanks! The app had some issues with the API but we've released an update 2 days ago. Should be fine now.
